Rise Elite’s fall training program is focused on younger athletes while offering our continuing players a volleyball outlet. The Mini Club season focuses on the basics of volleyball, skill development for a well-rounded player, physical aspects and overall team concepts. We work with beginner and intermediate players to create a strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals as well as improve and develop more advanced athletes.
Our Mini Club teams are created considering both the age and skill level of each athlete. The teams will play competitive, local volleyball clubs and experience tournament competition. The goal for these players is to put them on the correct path to play at a higher, more competitive level during their school and regular club season. This is a fun and exciting shortened competitive season that allows the club to see growth in a less stressful environment.
Rise Elite tries to maintain 8-11 athletes per team. We offer team play starting at 11U thru 16U depending on player availability. Mini Club teams will practice two (2) times a week for 1.5 hours per practice.
See the below guideline to determine the proper age division for your player. They will probably play in their USAV guidelines for VOLLEYBALL age group but they may be moved at the discretion of the Club director depending on ability and experience.
Single and Two day tournaments are played on Saturdays and/or Sundays, AM or PM waves. Athletes should be at the venue an hour before the start of the teams match, ending times may vary. Play location and times will vary by age.
In the YMCA Community leagues, players can start play as young as eight years old. Rise Elite usually starts at the age of 11 years, but we are aware that there are some youngsters that are very attentive, skilled and ready to participate at a younger age. Players may play up to another age group, but never down an age group.
